Liberals vs Conservatives, Couldnt think of a topic title Options

I'm not sure what forum this goes on.... and I'm sorry if this has already been posted.. I'm just wondering though..

The majority of teenagers in America are very liberal, and if you ask an adult, it's always been that way. But in adults, liberals and conservatives are pretty much equal parts of this country. There is really about the same number of liberals as conservatives. So the topic for debate is: what happens when kids grow up that causes so many of them to become conservative? I mean, most kids think liberally, most of the media (news, rappers, etc) is liberal; yet at some point kids manage to become conservatives. Why? I myself am a liberal btw <_<

we're more open to change at this age, perhaps? but that doesn't exactly answer the question..
