-First of all, those girls that go out with others for money are gold diggers. I should know, my dad's girlfriend is a gold digger.
-Second of all, dating a girl/guy because s/he is hot is superficial and self-centered. Dating someone because of their looks is so... lame. I LOVE my boyfriend with all my heart, and I never want to break up with him. Sure, we have fights.. but we get over it and move on. I've been dating my bvoyfriend for more than 2 years now, and we're still going strong. There are times where I doubt if my boyfriend will still love me for who I am, because there's tons of prettier, smarter, nicer, and more talented girls out there that could steal him away from me. I've dated other guys before, but i'm glad that I broke it off with them and stayed single for a while and then finally dated my boyfriend because it made me realize that I should wait for someone that is really worth it.. not for looks, not because everyone else said that guy and I should date.. it's nothing like that. I only liked my ex because he was cute. I do expect the guy I date to be intelligent, fun, spontaneous, and kind. But I was too stuck on his looks that I neglected the fact that he sometimes made fun of people, checked out other girls, ignored me most of the time at school, and worst of all, didn't care about education or his future. He had F's on his report card, and a few D's. I'm not high-maintenance or anything... I just want to have someone that had more good qualities, besides looks. So I ended that relationship after a month and a half... He also got boring and annoying since everything he was interested in wasn't interesting to me. My first boyfriend.. well he was nice and all but mainly I just thought he was cute. And other people told me that we'd look cute together, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I did like him, but I didn't think we'd last long anyway. But the boyfriend I have right now is definitely a keeper. Yes, sure, I thought he was cute/adorable when I introduced myself to him, but I also found out that he was smart and interesting to talk to. It was not until after a few weeks of dating him, I realized that him and I were different in a lot of ways, but we both had some similarities. Looks do attract, but it's the personality that makes it all the worthwhile. |
