yeeeah i really need some more RAM and I heard you needed like a special slot thing if you want to buy some RAM and how exactly does this work!?

(The website where it shows info/products, etc for my computer was no help and i currently have lost my computer manual. Do i really need it? Someone said i should, but i'm not sure mellow.gif )

There are basically 2 kinds of chipsets for workstation computer, sdram & ddrram.

sdram is basicly old chipsets, or .. the one that Apple still uses.
ddrram is the latest kind of chipsets.

if you are upgrading ram you must buy memory that is compatible with your chipset on the motherboard. or else, it'll be useless.
