Is swearing right or wrong? Or is there a more complex answer?
My answer would be that if swearing offends somebody around you, dont do it. But if your with people who dont mind swear words anymore than words like shucks, or darn, than its okay. Because whe you get down to it, swear words have the same effect as saying ouch when you get hurt. They are just a way of expressing your feelings more effectively than regular words can. |

^^ What she said.
You can't really call it "right" or "wrong." Personally, I swear fairly often. Not constantly, but I definitely don't have days where I don't curse. I just like it. But I keep it where it's appropriate. For whatever reason, man invented these words and then deemed them socially inapporiate at certain times. So I don't curse in front of children (on purpose anyway... lol) and I don't curse when I talk to my bosses or to professionals or anything like that. Mostly just when I'm talking to my family and friends. But I try not to do it too often because I think that at a certain point, it starts to sound classless. Callie |
