when some mods say we can't double post nor spam, how come they spam or double post?





if they become a mod, do they have a freedom to do whatever they want and break a rule? i thought it wasn't fair for the other members. they get warned for double posting a lot or spamming and when some mods do that, they dont get warned...


so yeah just wanted to say that... that's rude and messed up.

that would take too much time to do..the admins dont have all the time in the world to lower posts counts just b/c someone wants their post to be deleted...and how would all the staff keep track of it?..

you guys really should think about being in our shoes for once..we are busy moderating the forums and such that you guys cant apprectiate what we do and you just have to complain about 2 or 3 things we mess up on..

im not directing it to just people posting in this topic, just all the members..and im sorry to the staff if they think my post is a tad bit rude but im just trying to tell people..especially since they dont even have proof of showing the mdos spamming/double posting

I concur with you, Ashley. It would take a while. Administrators are the only ones who can alter post counts and choose whether a forum (maybe even a thread?!) should have post counts or not. It would take too long to lower post counts. Usually, when I see posts that are accidentally double-posted, I delete the second post. But if the post was intentional, say a person posted something. Then came back and said "OMG! How come no one replying?!?!" Then it was intentional. I agree with tweeak when she said "theres a difference between spamming ignorantly, spamming intentionally, and spammng accidentally. "

And thank you Jusun, for what you said. There's been countless times when mods have tried to contain any misdemeanors that have occurred. Maybe some of the members have official members and regular members confused with staff members. And often, it helps because I usually go and read what members have posted in any topic that I intend to post in or that looks interesting and I want to read it. And if I notice that the majority of the members believe that the thread should be closed, then I might even go consider closing it. I usually do that because it's important to take into consideration how other members react to the topic. Even if I want some topic to stay open, others might not. I'm not perfect; I can't always catch every little mistake.

And often, I might come off as an irritable person, but usually I try to get my point across. I may seem hostile in some of my posts/replies, but I most of the time, I try to apologize (whether in the same post or a later post) because I know that what I said might offend someone. And the last thing I want to do is offend someone that I don't even know and give a bad impression of myself, because I'm not usually like that. So I apologize if I've ever said anything rude. And thanks Ashley, for taking other member's feelings into consideration.

Okay back to the subject.

ok, s0 you people want a freakin` example...heres a topic where multiple people [no mods] double post lyk 10 times...especially airam [which i see a lot] and she doesn`t get warned or anything.

I do hope you realize that angel roh was talking about the moderators. Please read the posts carefully before replying, that's all I ask of you. I'm sorry if I come off hostile; I don't mean this in a hostile way. Secondly, double posting is posting right after another.

krnxswat - It's okay, I've been impatient on some posts and it would lag and I would get worried. And I would appreciate it if other mods who noticed some members accidentally double posting, could please delete the double post. Remember there is a difference between accidentally and intentionally.

what i was saying was that that along with the [edit] button we have above our own post we have a [delete] option also...

but i seems that you are all so gun-ho against it then dont worry...

So.. you DO have the Delete option or not? I'm confused; I thought you guys didn't. When I was a regular member, I did not have the [delete] option for my post. Maybe things changed. What's gun-ho? Please stay on topic; your last line is a little confusing.

Please give us proof. I think I speak for those of us who choose to follow this topic as the replies keep growing, when I say "Please give us proof and stop stating the obvious." And to thse who've seen this about 10 other times, please ignore this part.
