one of my guy friends...., oh im so confused Options

Ok so i have this guy friend that is really nice, i laugh at most of his jokes, etc...and i used to like him..i used to like him for a really long time too..(i dont anymore)
My best friend likes him now, and i have no problem with that..its just she obsesses, and that drives me crazy..

Well me and him were talking the other day about me having to babysit on New Years eve, and how the lady that i was babysitting for asked me if I had a boyfriend..

And then he told me that she probably said that just so she would know if the boyfriend would come "babysitting" with me..

so hes like "I love little kids, there awesome" and stuff like that and im like "your gonna come babysitting with me next time (like not as bf/gf...but as friends) so hes like "awesome" and (we always do this) i started flirting, i told him that the little kids would love him, etc..

so we kept on talking and hes like "I think im gonna go to the mall" and im like "ok cool bye" and hes like "Wait...do you wanna come with me?"

Now i know he wasnt asking me out..but if i told me best friend any of that she would be mad at me forever...


Oh and what should I do to get the point across to her that he doesnt like her (she thinks he does..but hes already told me he hates her...ha)...ive told her before but she doesnt listen..

It doesn't really sound like she is a very good friend if she won't even trust you to tell her the truth... I think he's gonna have to tell her that he doesn't like her. And then you're just going to have to be there for her when she starts bitching and crying etc...

Sounds to me like he likes you and that you're lying to yourself about not liking him... But that's just what I get from this one little story...
