My ex boyfriend [Erik] dumped me yesterday. Well, we'd been dating a month and I was at his house when he decided it was appropriate. He slipped me a note as I was leaving though. I didn't really have to read but I decided to do it anyways. I read the first 2 lines then threw it and hopped into his best friends car..[Collin] Collin knew something was wrong but I woulnd't say much. We came back after 30 minutes and Erik and me we're really talking. We could barely look at eachoher. Since I didn't read the whole note I was lost.
When I was driven home by Collin I started crying because Joey [my best friend] Told me what was in the note. Erik had never really liked me and lied the whole time we were dating because he wanted "ass" Last that night I called Erik to ask if it was true and he admitted to it but he wanted us to be friends with benefits. Hateing him suddenly I threw my cell phone. [Earlier that night I had thrown it at him and I thought it broke] It still didn't break after the second throw. It was amazing.
Anyway, while I was in the car will Collin [Erik's best friend] Joey [ my best friend] and Cassie [my good friend] I was crying. I've already stated that. Collin kept reaching over and putting his hand on my hand. He'd squeeze my hands to let me know he was there. He had liked me for quite some time but I'm afraid of getting any farther with him because he is Erik's best friend. Everytime I usually see Collin, Erik is right there.

So, the realy question is..
Should I take things farther will Collin? I've liked him a long time. Before I went out with Erik but I also liked Erik. So yeah.

Should I take things farther with Collin and think about dateing and deal with Erik when he comes to see me or forget it.

i'm not exactly sure about what you should do, but since collin and eric are best friends, i don't think you should come in between them, they're best friends and for all you know collin might be the same way eric is, you should probably give all of this a little time to settle before you get into any new relationships
