Lurkers, Lurkers everywhere, but not enough to drink Options

Forum lurkers! They are the so called "guests." who are "supposedly checking out our cB xanga resources." But what else do they do? They catch a glimpse of the Boys' or Girls' Locker Rooms. Some are intrigued. They enter. They laugh their ass off at the topics. Then they ANONYMOUSLY read the thread, and then creep into our Lounge, lurking without detection. On the average day in cB, 80% of the cB viewers are GUESTS! Are they viewing xskins? Or viewing our LIVES, our SECRETS in the Community Center.

A lurker might just be someone from YOUR school. You don't know he/she knows about cB. He might've been here just for skins. She might've been here for scripts. But then he lurks into the Community Center like a cockroach. And you JUST replied on the "I hate ____ the most in my school" or "I love ____ from my school." The topic is at the top of the forum list. She clicks. She reads. She finds that name oddly familiar, and then she sees the Location: under your avatar. Same city.. hmmm. She clicks your profile. She sees the personal photo. She sees the link to the familiar xanga.

You're screwed. You're done. She holds vital information on who you love. That you wish to remain secret. She begins a gossip campaign at school. You are profusely embarrassed.


Lesson Learned? Be careful of the average 400-500 'guests' that lurk our beloved board...
