Have you ever wanted something in a guy so much? And by the time you do get what you've longed for, it's just not as excitement of need/want etc as before? Like, I've had this b/f. We've been going on and off for 3 years almost. I've always wanted him to be the guy who'll kick the other guy's ass if the other guy messes w/ me.. Always wanted him to be the one writing me these romantic poetry...(still do ^__^) But when I wanted it sooo bad, that j/ wasn't what he was.. and after a break-up for 2 months.. we get back together.. and it's like he read my mind.. but my past mind.. And he's everything I wanted--but not everything I want. You know what I mean?.. it's j/ a really weird feeling.. feels like.. such selfish-ness and all this.. and you just wish that you could be soo content w/ what you have.. but you're not feeling that way. You wish you could rewind to your old wantings, but you can't. You want him to be more perfect, but when he is.. you'll j/ expect more and more.. it's like.. he's never good enough.. and you feel like maybe it's yourself who isn't good enough.. That he doesn't deserve you.. and you j/ feel like.. shit..
yeah..sorry if it's too long.. but ever feel like that?? |

QUOTE(cmgchica717 @ Dec 29 2004, 3:37 PM) I know what you mean, people are always trying to perfect their relationships to a point where sometimes it becomes to much for the other person. If you really love and cherish your significant other focus on the good things about that person and love them for who they are...quit trying to change them into people they are not because you could eventually end up losing them. yes i agree, but i also think that you may be making your expectations too high, i want my boyfriend to write me letters and do whatever out of the blue, you just have to tell him what you want or you're not going to get it, sadly men aren't mind readers |
