Three simple questions:
Question 1: Do you believe that it is likely that the universe was created by an advanced (omnipotent?) being? Question 2: If you answered "yes" to Question 1, do you believe that it is likely that said advanced being was created by an even more advanced being? Questions 3: If you answered "no" to Question 2, why are your answers to Questions 1 and 2 different? |

QUOTE(TreesTurnMeOn @ Dec 27 2004, 1:21 PM) Let me ask YOU this. If God had a creator, then who would have created his creator? And who would have created him? And who him? So on and so forth. That question doesn't help your argument. It's actually the idea I was elaborating on. How can we say that there is an absolute creator, since one of the major arguments that supporters of that idea use is that everything (ie. the universe) must have a cause. As for your beliefs, I am simply encouraging people to question them and investigate how logical they really are. |
