Okay.. Do you believe in Santa Claus? (ahem; this is a rhetorical question..)
Why don't you believe in Santa Claus? Is it because he's just your parents? Is it because he's just some guy that amuses children? Is it because he's just for kids? Well, here's what I believe.. Though Santa Claus may not be always in red and not always have a big white beard. We're all Santa Claus! (Yes, we also may not be always fat either..) How can we all be Santa Claus? Well, during the christmas season... we're giving presents, don't we? I mean, we really don't have to.. but we do it anyway! Thus the spirit of St. Nick lives on! Sure, when we give out these presents.. we're not big, fat, or jolly (.. okay, maybe not some of us..) and see, that's why I believe in Santa Claus. (Also, if you didn't know it's still Christmas as we speak..) |

QUOTE Santa Claus hasn't always looked like the jolly old fellow we know today. Like so many other American traditions, he's a product of the great American melting pot - a blend of many different cultures and customs. His earliest ancestors date back to pre-Christian days, when sky-riding gods ruled the earth. The mythological characters Odin, Thor, and Saturn gave us the basis for many of Santa's distinctive characteristics.
