Yay for the most materialistic day of the year. This is by far the stupidest time of year. How did Christmas come to trading gifts? Christmas was about celebrating the birth of Christ, no? Why is this day only about exchanging gifts?
Anyways, merry f*cking christmas. Don't get run over. There's your f**king Christmas spirit, Santa. Bite me. |

QUOTE(DaTru KataLYST @ Dec 26 2004, 3:10 AM) i doubt he'll come back to read this. he has an AIM tho. Well, I'm not about to IM him. >_> QUOTE Okay, re-reading over this topic I've come to a conclusion: For the most part, Christmas has indeed lost its meaning. Maybe not for everyone, because my family and I still celebrate it as the birth of Jesus Christ our savior. People may have their own version of how this holiday came to be, and how they celebrate it is of their own will. There is no certain way that people of Christianity or as of any other religion for that matter, since even non-Christians participate in this event, have to celebrate it. It's just horrid to see how we've come so far as to ruining it for some people and filling heads with the thoughts of presents underneath your little Christmas trees and comparing them with that of others. Greed and money do take part in this event because of greed and money. Bottom line. Christmas has lost its truth for most who only think of presents. People have the freedom to celebrate this occasion in any fashion they see fit. Pfft, forget armagedon. We can end the world ourselves it seems. Yes yes, you are absolutely correct. |
