Yay for the most materialistic day of the year. This is by far the stupidest time of year. How did Christmas come to trading gifts? Christmas was about celebrating the birth of Christ, no? Why is this day only about exchanging gifts?

Yes, Christmas is about the birth of Christ and spending time with loved ones, but it was once only a holiday just to "chill and have fun," during the 4th century. The belief and story of "The Birth of Christ" was commercialized during the early 20th century. go research the history about Christmas (if you find results about the Birth of Christ, keep searching, cuz it wasnt all about the Birth of Christ, but they made it like that during the early 20th century. Many ppl arent even aware of the history.)
