okay. well there is this guy i have known since 5th grade, and we went out in6th many times, but borke up alot `cuz people kept interfering. but anyways, we went out one last time, but my "friend" kept bothering me telling me that she liked him and everything. so i wanted to be a good friend (plus i couldnt take it anymore). so yeah, i broke up with him (no matter how much i didnt want to) well i set him and my "friend" up and they have been going out ever since (about 2 years) and during those 2 years of them going out i moved from D.C. (where i used to live and where he lives, ect.) to San Diego. we talk everyday, and we tell eachother that we still like eachother and that we are going to get married when we grow up. and recently his girlfriend cheated on him and told him and it got him mad, but he is afraid that if he breaks up with her that she will do something drastic because she is crazy about him. and i told him that i will most likely visit him this summer, and then he said that he and i should hook up then and i said "okay" (he and his girlfriend wont be going out then)

what i want to know is if i should still hold on to him or just let him go. i REALLY do love him, and he says he loves me too...but i am here and he is there. what do you think?

[edit]

i know that it isnt good for a long distance relationship, and i dont want one and he knows that. but do you think that its good for me to hold on to him till i can leave and go there permanetly? (in about 4 years, a lil less)

it's completely up to you, if you want to. but i would say no don't go into a long distance relationship, unless you can completely trust him and vice versa. well if you do love him like you say you do then go for it.
good luck
