I was just browsing through Peta 2 and I found this video on factory farms...before, I was completely clueless to where my meat came from...ignorant, I know...
Ever since I saw this, I went vegetarian. I know I might sound like a silly little girl who'll give up vegetarianism after a week or two, but I really felt bad for what went on in these farms and I hope that I can keep up vegetarianism... Are any of you in here vegetarian or vegan? Please take a look at this depressing clip...please consider it... The Cruelty of Animal Farms It may take a while to load on older computers, but it's worth it, in my opinion... |

QUOTE(airam @ Dec 20 2004, 5:31 PM) what are little kids going to do besides whine and cry? are they going to take action? i'm not saying that kids aren't capable but is scareing them and making them hate their mom isn't the right way to educate them, fur is not something i would want (real or faux, it's just plan ugly) but i have nothing against these "greedy" people who wear it. because it says nothing about them and who they are. if they like it, real or not, fine. i don't care. it's not effecting me. do people what eat meat support the killing of animals? they do other scare/shock tactics.( http://www.consumerfreedom.com/news_detail.cfm/headline/2537 ) to teach people not to eat meat, that milk is unheathly, whatever. but scareing people isn't teh way to change a mind, but to tell people the facts instead of what you want people to think. Okay, okay, I'll believe that PETA does go overboard at times, but I'm pretty sure it's for a good cause and they just want to help animals in need. |
