I was just browsing through Peta 2 and I found this video on factory farms...before, I was completely clueless to where my meat came from...ignorant, I know...
Ever since I saw this, I went vegetarian. I know I might sound like a silly little girl who'll give up vegetarianism after a week or two, but I really felt bad for what went on in these farms and I hope that I can keep up vegetarianism... Are any of you in here vegetarian or vegan? Please take a look at this depressing clip...please consider it... The Cruelty of Animal Farms It may take a while to load on older computers, but it's worth it, in my opinion... |

QUOTE(airam @ Dec 20 2004, 1:25 PM) because we know that PETA is great at imforming little kids that their mommy kills animals. (no joke by the way) http://www.furisdead.com/images/mommykills_comichead.jpg http://www.furisdead.com/momfur.html They're informing little kids who have parents that wear fur that their mommy supports killing animals. Which is true. QUOTE oh no, i can totally understand where you are coming from. because we all know that PETA believes that everyone who has been to a zoo, enjoys circus elephants, fed/feeds milk to amimals, wear leather or fur, ate meat once in their life are all animal abusers. like me. like everyone here. Now you're the one who's going overboard. First of all, it is wrong to wear fur, and PETA is right in trying to get people to stop it. Secondly, they don't feel that everyone who has been to a zoo, enjoys circus elephants, feeds milk to animals, eats meat, or wears leather is an animal abuser. They think it's better if less people wore leather or consumed meat since less animals would die, but they don't try to make it like the law that people who do wear leather are animal abusers. I'm pretty sure you'd agree that the less living beings suffer, the better. (unless there's some risk of overpopulation or something.) Also, PETA tries to inform people who pay money to watch abused and maltreated animals in zoos and circuses about how the creatures are treated, not just point the finger at them and call them animal abusers. They believe that the zookeepers and circus trainers who abuse the animals are animal abusers. Which is true. |
