I was just browsing through Peta 2 and I found this video on factory farms...before, I was completely clueless to where my meat came from...ignorant, I know...
Ever since I saw this, I went vegetarian. I know I might sound like a silly little girl who'll give up vegetarianism after a week or two, but I really felt bad for what went on in these farms and I hope that I can keep up vegetarianism... Are any of you in here vegetarian or vegan? Please take a look at this depressing clip...please consider it... The Cruelty of Animal Farms It may take a while to load on older computers, but it's worth it, in my opinion... |

QUOTE(comeupon @ Dec 19 2004, 12:54 AM) My grandpa is buddhist, but hes like the real one. He gave up all his valued possesions and moved away for 20 years, he just moved back 3 or 4 years ago but hes still very religious and follows the traditions. "the real one" could be defined in many different ways. But that sounds like a monk to me. Why'd he stop? Shoulda kept going. My parents are doing this new age Buddhism lead by this Buddha. She's pretty amazing actually. I suppose I am not a "real" Buddhist, but i will become a monk one day.. |
