Yeah, always do something sweet, and never just ask straight up, always leave little obvious hints and things. Try to get her alone, or, if you're really daring, get her right in a group around her friends, and then do it, so you can get the "Awwww!!!" effect from all of her friends and things like that. I haven't had much luck with chocolates, but flowers always work. If you're feeling daring, you can try this. I did it to someone and it worked like a charm. Get a single rose, that's either in bloom or just out of bloom, and keep one thorn on it. Just one. So, wear a loose jacket or sweater or something, something that has a pocket in the front that'll fit the flower without wrecking it. Just ask her if she wants to go on a lil walk, and just talk about anything, compliment her if you're feeling up to it, say nice things to her, and then all of a sudden, prick your finger with the thorn, making sure you bleed JUST a tiny bit, and then pull that hand outta your pocket and say ouch or something like that. When she asks what happened, pull the rose out and say "Just something I brought for you... " and give it to her, then ask her out in whatever way you wanna. You can ask her to a dance at your school, ask her to a movie, or just ask if she'd wanna go out with you sometime, as a couple. Never use the term "boyfriend and girlfriend" when asking someone out, it sounds really really lame, and shows a lack of intelligence since you can't find a better word.
