I don't know if a topic like this has been made yet, but here goes...

So I know a lot of cBers listen to rap. I listen to rap, too. But have you noticed what most of the rappers are doing to rap? They're destroying rap's reputation. They make the people that listen to rap look like sex obssesed "gangtahz". I know there are a lot of rappers out there that make music that is about something meaningful, but the majority are always talking about how they have gatts and hoes and that they're pimps. Maybe we should all write emails to the rappers asking them to write about something else..

Which is why I don't listen to mainstream or commercial rappers...

If you want to listen to some real rappers, try:

De La Soul
Royce da 5'9
Mos Def
Talib Kweli
Common
Pharoahe Monch
The Roots
Nas
etc.

The reason why the rap you hear on the radio and TV is what's popular is because this is what the fans want to hear. There are plenty of rappers out there who don't rap like they nymphos or gangstas or straight up idiots. Its the listener's fault for not supporting good artists and instead glorifying idiots such as 50 Cent or Nelly or Chingy.

Don't blame the rappers, blame the idiots who buy their garbage.
