![]() Alot of people I know associate asians with being super smart..or reallii good at math ..Do you know anyone who gets mad because of this stereotype or it just doesnt matter ? Just in case..im not Asian im Dominican ( hispanic ) and this isnt the way i feel towards asians just a simple question. |

yeah it is a major stereotype but there are many others for the other races too. and usually the asian stereotype of being smart and good at math is only a stereotype because of how most asians act towards their school work. they try to work really really really hard because trust me, asian parents are hella strict about school and grades and crap. and no i don`t really know anyone that gets totally offended by it, just annoyed. i think that it gets annoying and possibly offensive when a person relates everything they say and that happens, to stereotypes. like i know a kid who will be like, "oh it`s because i`m asian huh?" "you don`t get straight A`s?..omg but you`re asian!!" and says stuff like that all the time. that`s when it`s time to say stfu =) haha
ohh one more thing, haha i think most people who talk about stereotypes and racist remarks and such, (like that one kid i was talking about) talk about it so much because them, themselves make a lot of stereotypes and might actually believe in them. |
