i'm finishing this longass project for AP language that's due tomorrow. This is what I have to have done in 5 hours before I have to leave for school:
-Select 20 quotations which support a theme or characterization. Explain which theme/characterization the quote supports. -Choose a representative passage of the work which illustrates the author's style. Tone and pluck, then write an essay explaining how the author uses the resources of language. -Create 10 AP syle multiple choice questions about the author's style and use of language. Include an explanation of the answer. -Locate 3 reviews on my novel. write a compare/contrast informal analysis. -Write a 20 minute speech which includes: Introduction to the book Comments on characterization/themes Comment on the reviews Draw and color five pictures, each depicting how the book reveals about 1)society, 2) relationships, 3) happiness, 4) history, 5) politics -Make a PowerPoint presentation to go along with the speech AND i have 5 hours to do this. But the problem is, can I stay awake? Who here has some good tips at staying awake and staying focused? If anyone's still up... haha... |

I'm probably too late yo give you any advice, but I agree, apples can help. I ate one today for luncha nd right after I felt so awake! And apples are healthy for you. Oranges make me feel energized too! Of course, most fruits do anyway.
I agree with HikaruTakekawa because the thing with soda is that it often has caffeine in it. And caffeine with make you all hyper and awake for maybe like a few hours, but right after, you get all sluggish and your whole body crashes. You'll most likely fall asleep after 3 hours from it, unless you drink so more. But the more you drink, the more energy is being used up in too little time. So when you have to present the project, you'll end up fainting or falling asleep. And ESPECIALLY if you're really tired, you'll forget alot of things. I pulled alot of all nighters thge beginning of this school year because of all my AP US History crap. I actually spent 8 hours writing notes for ap us history, and then I'd also be reading the chapter. I never finished, either. ![]() Also, I had this in class essay, and I was soo tired. So I accidentally fell asleep, then I woke up at 3 AM. I freaked out and then started rushing. I cut out alot of quotes and pasted them. I started to write an outline for the essay. I was soo tired omg. Because I had to read all these photocopied papers, only using 1/7th of the material, and I had to memorize the 6/7th of the papers i had in order to know the information to write the essay. but i actually had like 2 hours of sleep. A friend of mines (Seungchan) told me that if you sleep for like maybe 1-2 hours.. or a few hours, you'll feel energized. No 10 minute naps. They make you more tired because in my opinion, within the 10 minutes, my body starts to fall asleep, so it's harder to wake up. |
