Ludacris - The Red Light District
Reviewed by Topheavy Ludacris has dropped many memorable albums such as Word of Mouf, Chicken N Beer, and Back for the First Time. Although I didn't have high expectations for this album, Ludacris sure did, as stated in the intro. "If you see me in your town and I appear to be moody It's cause I got plans bigger than Serena's Booty Me and Chaka still starving and looking for meals And HEADS UP! Ludacris is almost out of his deal More then 10 million sold every album is crack And for now I'm bout to carry Def Jam on my back" With so many current issues at hand, such as his impending free angency, the king of the south title, or record sales, it's easy to overlook Ludacris's beef with Bill O'Reilly. Although some of us might have forgotten it, Ludacris shows on Number One Spot that his memory is "clearer than the diamonds on his wrist". "Oh they grind me Already offers on my 6th album for labels tryna sign me Respected Highly Hii Mister O'reillyy!" The 16 tracks on the album all seem in place, and with guest appearances from artists such as DMX, Nate Dogg, Nas, Trick Daddy, and more, Ludacris sure has got the attention of me with this album. Although it's flaws are visible, I survived my stroll through The Red Light District. Lyrical Content: 7/10 Musical Content: 6/10 Total Content: 6/10 my review of red light district for Clique |
