Yay! Finally done with this! Since I don't feel like explaining about this layout, read about it in the 'EXTRAS' section.

Adding a nav section was really inconvenient, so I decided to make it a pop-up window. Heh. That's where all my crap is if you wanna know. Do you think it isn't obvious enough? I wasn't sure whether people would be smart enough to click on it. Heh.

Well, it didn't start out so simple at first. I had a really complicated banner with a light green background and some other crap, but when I finished all the coding and everything, I didn't like it. Much too busy. Detracted from my vector and such.

So when I went back to the drawing board, I realized that being the idiot I am I somehow didn't have the vector saved as a .psd but as a .jpg with a white background. Kinda sucked, and I couldn't change the white background because it screwed up the edges of the vector. Heh. So yeah...

I personally liked the simplicity. I thought that if I made the banner too cluttered, it would have clashed with the busy text section under it.

As for the transparency look on my background, I actually really like it. Thanks for the input, though! Really appreciate the meaningful posts.

Oh, and lileminemgnomy, I personally don't like to have sites with a million banners that take 5 minutes to load.

Do you think I should add some sort of simple, pale background on the right? I'm thinking that might make it seem a little fuller for those of you who think it's plain.
