Ahhh crap, orange county marathon Options

Well here I am awake at 4am.... gotta get rdy cause I gotta be at my school by 5am to make the bus. Im in my school's SRLA (students run los angeles) team where we train to run the Los Angeles Marathon (26.2 miles).

and today happens to be one of our fabulous races... last one was in cabrillo beach (9.3 miles), I managed that one in 1hr 49mins. Today were only doing the half marathon though (13.1 miles) but the bad part is.... its raining. I just hope itll stop right now or before we run. Running in the rain will be fun for the first mile but ehh not the next 12. Atleast its cold, wont heat up that fast.

Ahh was good... actually took me 7 minutes due to the amount of people there to pass the starting line after the starting horn was used. Anyway after mile 6 i had to take a whiz really bad and i went in line to use those poter pottys... i waited there for 20minutes. GRRRR wasted alot of time waiting.

Anyway after mile 9 it started raining real bad. All of us were running all soaked. By mile 11 the places we were running were really wet that ur running basically on water.

2hrs 51 minutes i finished it. Or u could say it took me 2hrs 31 minutes if u subtract the stupid potter potty time. Anyway heres the worst part besides the blisters and soreness. The finish line was about 1.5 miles away from starting line/busses area wid a 400ft diffrence.

All SRLA regardless of school have to walk about half a mile to this location and wait for a bus to bring u to the main bus parking spot where u can find ur schoolbus for ur school. Anyway i went there and i couldnt find anyone from my school and they were sending 1 bus at a time to bring 2000+ srla runners back.

So we were all standing there waiting for more busses and no more were coming for some reason i dont even know. But they got like half of all SRLA out there in that place waiting for busses and it was pouring! and the wind was really bad too. Since we all were standing still made it even worse. Soo anyway, we had to huddle close wid random people cause everyone was shaking. like an hour later in d cold rain some people started getting pail and passing out and ambulance had to come for them cause they had hypothermia. So some club hotel near our place felt bad for us and they let us all in into heated rooms. so we all filled it up. I finally saw some people from my school and we sticked close together. Got hold of a cell fone and called my friend who was in d bus ends up 8 of us (which the 8 was with me including me) were the only ones missing. So they started having each school's own bus picking us up but for our school they sent in our coaches to get us and it was like 4hrs later when our coach came to get us.

Unfortunetly ends up the car which she used to get there was half a mile away soo back to the cold rain to run to d car. We reached it and there was 10 of us; coach, driver, and the 8 of us and the car was a 5 seater. We cramped in it like a mofo. And headed back to our bus. So thats how it went. Was pretty bad actually. But atleast i survived!
