something I find incredulously pointless in these topics is how you (yes YOU) feel obligated to "introduce" us to "your" music.

The reason why you want us to listen to these artists escapes me. If you enjoy their music, fine ... don't force it on us. Its condescending and hypocritical.

Because face it .... when these "underground" artists become popular .... you'll begin to hate them. Its only good to you because you feel that you're the only one in the world to know who they are and even if they are just mediocre, you say to yourself "Well ... no one knows who they are ... so I'll just say that they're amazing and look cool".

You feel that you're superior to everyone and use the names of these artists as a sort of credit card that you quickly show everyone to show how "sophisticated" your tastes are. Instead you should be listening for the art of it.

This doesn't only apply to you "hip-hop" hipsters .... but to you emo fans. Good music is good music ... if its popular and its good music ... then its good (despite what you might think)

uh no... i like several mainstream hiphop artists such as kanye west, nas, jayz... but the MAJORITY OF THEM SUCK. I don't hate on a dude just because he is mainstream, that is stupid. i dont listen to a rapper because he is wack, not because of how many cds he sells...

eminem is one of the best selling artists ever... he is one of my favorite rappers
50 cent sold 6.5 million in a year... i hate his music.

plain and simple, underground artists make better music then 95% of whats popular today. If Chingy rapped (lyrically) like talib kweli, i would be a fan. but chingy doesnt. he raps like a faggot ass dude from st louis. thats why im not a fan. not because chingy is popular.

there are lots of underground artists that i dont like. i dont promote them. i hope you will neverhave to listen to them.
