Shoot I really forget if this topic has been made before so my bad.
I refer to it as a ghost dream b/c what happens is.. your body is paralyzed and there is a ghost choking you. You can't get up. You know you're somewhat awake, somewhat dreaming and you're trying to get out of that dream state. Then it takes an incredible amount of effort to get out of it. It's never happened up until last school yr. Now finally it's happened at my new apartment. So I'm like yea.. that's retarded. My dream was.. this girl (I have no idea who) wanted me to wash her jeans and I walked over to the washer, but there were clothes everywhere. I handed them back and told her to wash them herself. As I was putting on my shoes to leave, she came over and started to pour a can of coke on me from my neck down. This is when I realized I could feel it happening.. where a numbness took over my neck and I was trying my hardest to get up, yell, and move my arms. And I knew my friend was on my computer while I was napping (It was like 2 pm) so it wasn't as scary as the ones that happen at night. But I finally managed to get out, "OH F$^@!" It sucks. I heard a trick to getting out of it quicker is getting your arms up. No idea |

It used to happen to me all the time at my old house. When i'm falling asleep a dream appears.. and i'm always getting chase by a ghost. One time.. i fell asleep on the couch and my sister was sit right next to me.. and it happened.. i tried to scream for her.. but she can't hear me
![]() Sometimes.. i can hear voices.. ![]() I got so used to it.. i even sometimes try to see how long i can stay like that or even try to talk to "it". It got to the point where i couldn't breathe anymore.. so I stopped doing that. At first it's scary cause u don't know what was happening.. but if it happens every night.. u'll get used to it. sleep paralysis is also known as "old hag" syndrome The name of the phenomenon comes from the superstitious belief that a witch - or an old hag - sits or "rides" the chest of the victims, rendering them immobile. Although that explanation isn't taken very seriously nowadays, the perplexing and often very frightening nature of the phenomenon leads many people to believe that there are supernatural forces at work - ghosts or demons. Here is a "The Scientific Explanation" |
