You stupid ass hip hop listeners need to start listenin' to 'em and findin' ways to get their records so that labels will see that people actually like "quality hip hop" and stop signing 50 Cent-like rappers to make "In the Club"-like tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, non of my friends are into underground, they're all into mainstream so I have to go pick shit up myself. My bf laughs at me when I get all heated about mainstream music, says i'm too serious about this shit... He just doesn't understand.

Anyhow, when picking out artists to listen to, I'm not all about the hard hitter punchliners as you are. I like conscious artists who put out real content in their music, like their struggles and triumphs, shit that real people can relate to, shit that touches your soul. I'm a bigger Neo-Soul fan than anything else which is why I care more about that. Got any suggestions?
