What would you do if you knew someone who cut themselves? i know it's dangerous but my friend does it cause of problems at her/his house. what should i do? or can i do anything?

Eh, I once knew a friend who cut herself (this was 3 years ago). I told on her to a teacher because she was cutting IN CLASS (this teacher was like blind, i guess) and she got sent to a mental institute for 6 months
