deciding my major, give me your opinions Options

School year recently ended for me and now I have to decide a major for junior year. This might seem unimportant to you all but in Malaysia, junior year is the most important year. If you choose the wrong major and screw up junior year, say goodbye to senior year and college. You're doomed.

So I've narrowed it down to two - Science and Business and Finance.

I hate Science with a passion. I have no interest in it and I just hate it. I am considering this because everybody says you'll have a wider field to choose from when you head to college and all. And that's true. Plus my mom is really counting on me to be like my cousin who is majoring in Science and has straight A's.

Business and Finance on the other hand, is something that I am very interested in. I've dabbled in Accounting and Econ in my previous years and I think they're worth continuing. But here, Business is where all the flunkies go. Science is for the truly smart people. I'm afraid that if I mix with the wrong people, I'll end up like them too. I mean, sophomore year, I was in a class with people who actually failed, believe it or not. I hung out with them for a bit and then I discovered that I was starting to get lazier. So I know it might happen in junior year is I take Business and Finance.

I've talked with a few of my close friends and they all say 'follow your heart'. Unfortunately I live in the real world where people get screwed up all the time for 'following their heart'. My ex thinks that I should take Business and Finance and do something I'll really enjoy and won't have such a hard getting straight A's.

I think that if I were to major in Science, I'd still be able to do well. But it would take a lot of hard work and effort because I'm not interested in Science at all. And the posibillity of getting straight A's would be... bleh.

If I were to major in Business and Finance, I'd be able to relax a bit because there are less classes to take. And I know I'll be able to do good.

I heard from American friends I take a lot of classes... Does seem like a lot to me though. O.o

So if you've actually read through all that or at least skimmed through, tell me what you think. Coz I need more opinions before I can make up my mind.
