rgrr.. help please ! Options

Alrite my computer is a 422x Sony Vaio. Not even a year old.
Has like one big program in it --CounterStrike.
It contracted a virus at one point from too much xanga, and I got it fixed, but since then I`ve had to do more virus checks, so on and so on. I took real good care of it.
But the other day, i was talking on aim, then went to go lie down and study for an hour, and ended up falling asleep.. leaving the computer on overnite. Then in the morning, I was running late, and couldn`t turn off the computer ><. And i didnt get home till.. 6pm. When i got home, I restarted, defraged, disk clean up, spybot, and ad-awared my computer.

But.. it made no help... My computer was blegh. Before it would be like less than a second for the right click screen menu to show up. Now its 2 seconds @.@.. Uck, i hate that. And my internet picks up so slowly. And i get pop ups.

Please can someone help me?

I beleive the best answer is just to reinstall windows. I'll clear out all the crap you that is slowing your comp down and get rid of viruses and stuff. Just remember to back up your data first. Plus there's nothing wrong with leaving your comp on for a day or two. Mine stay one for weeks at a stretch.
