In other words, we would have lost our fight just a lot sooner because we wouldn't have the power/military support to kept on fight for that long. Perhaps, it could've save many lives that way. But those who lost their lives fought for something that they hope their families will enjoy later, freedom. They knew what they were fighting for and fought for it with their heart and soul. We rather have a chance to fight than no chance at all. Wouldn't you want a chance to escape when you're forced into a situation where you're being oppressed?
