Interracial Relationships, ignorant people these days... Options

Yeah, I'm currently in an interracial relationship, and I can barely get through a hallway without hearing some kind of remark. 90% of the time it's derogatory. Sometimes I feel like socking one of them. You'd think people wouldn't care so much these days what with nearly everyone trying for the "ghetto" persona. (Hence one of the reasons why I love her, she's one of the few that don't try to be "ghetto," and she acts nicely and everything) Have you ever been in this situation? (Note: I am NOT going to break up with her, so don't think that's what I'm asking)

I know what you mean. I live in a multi-racial country in Asia and yet you still get looked down or scorned at if you're dating someone outside of your race.

I'm Chinese and I've dated white, Pinoy and Korean guys before.

I don't think this is the matter where you're living but here, interracial dating is an issue because of religion. I'm not dissing any Muslims okay but there's this rule or something that says you can only marry another Muslim. So if a Muslim wants to marry a non-Muslim, the non-Muslim will first have to convert to Muslim. Most conservative parents will not allow such a thing. This is just an example though.

But I say screwwhat everyone thinks. If you love her you should be with her.
