This is a tue story from my hometown.

Two highshcools; two football teams. This rivalry literally goes back one hundred years and is one of the oldest in the state.

Both schools are preparing for the game. Mine buys a brand new scoreboard with instant replay. We get a new press box. We have a newly redone feild.

So, this hundredth game rolls along and the score is tied. Each team has won the same amount of games.

The stadium is packed, around ten thousand are expected, and let me tell you, both these cities are small. People are even watching on the hills outside the stadium.

My school starts out ahead, but soon we're neck and neck. It's close till late in the game. The other teams pulls ahead by one. Then we do. Then they do. Then we're tied. We go into over time.

They score, then we do-- which wins the game. The score ended up being 21-20. As soon as the time rans out on the clock fans swarmed onto the feild. It's chaos; everyone cheering (excepting the other team and thier fans) The opposing teams fans cried as well as thier footall players.

One team is devistated. The other is happy beyond belief.

Rumor has it highlights of this game were supposed to be shown on ESPN 2? I'm not sure if they were or not...

interesting. ive sat through 2 football seasons with the marching band it still dont care about it at all. the team kind of sucks too, and yet theyre served catered foot and ride in charter buses before every game. psh. they had 2 chances to make the playoffs, against a team ranked below them on one game and yet they still lost, but that was fine with me as i was really sick of sitting through games
