whats your definition of love? is theyr one to even start from? can you define it?
love - the feeling/emotion in which you feel sincere happiness. have felt pain &somehow been brought back together. feel like everyones opinion doesnt matter. where all flaws somehow disappear and the good in the person overtakes it. love is a word you shouldnt overuse because you may just lose its meaning. |

Someone told me this once when i asked the same question... so i thought i would share it.
"There are decisions in life that require careful consideration, but when you overanalyze emotions they lose what makes them special, the fact that they don't need to be based on some logical explanation. When you're in love you'll know it! You can't expect to know what love is from other people's descriptions of their own experience of it. No one experiences love in the same exact way. It's a profound emotion that will consume every part of you when you have it, trust me you'll know. But if you rely on other people's experience to try and figure out what it is you'll lose something, your own personal experience. And if you sepnd too much time trying to figure out what it is with your head, you might miss it when it's right there. Love can never be fully comprehended by the mind, that's why it's so wonderful. Think about it, there's no logical reason for unconditional love to exist, but it does. If love was something to be so scrutinized and thought about mentally, then it would lose it's luster. The greatest minds of civilaztion have tried to come up with definitions of love and even they haven't satisfied everyone. What makes you think anyone else can?" |
