And I begin to crack under the pressure.
My soul drifting
Like a leaf in an updraft
At the mercy of everyone
Spinning out of control.
Relief and release
Just seconds away
An innocent pink capsule bringing the gift of eternal sleep.
But my rage knows no bounds
As our angry hands rip the world to shreds
Crimson and red raining from the skies
The fates of billions revolving around our actions
Death and destruction lying in the wake
Of our emotions
Waging the inevitable war
Incessant fighting tears through the bloodshot days
Shining bright into the deep purple nights
Your fragile figure a black silhouette
That somehow manages to stand fast
I move in for the final blow
Only to end up on the floor
Soft fingers holding my neck
Sharp black eyelashes piercing my skin
The sky behind her clears
As my eyes close for the last time.
