hating on christians., x Options

I've got a few friends who are non-christian and they're always saying bad stuff about christianity. i.e "oh its so stupid" "oh, you all are dumbass bush supporters" "oh, blah blah blah".

what's funny is that they don't know jackcrap about christianity. they don't know what we learn and how great it is.

it ... iirks me. i can go on forever, but i dont feel like it.



for christians... are you feeling this from atheist, etc friends?

for non-christians... do you play down on christianity?

I am Jewish. My whole family is Christian. [In fact, my brother is becoming a pastor.] I grew up being taught Christianity. But I withdrew from the religion because I did not feel it was...many things. Many things that I thought a religion should be. I still believe Jesus was a person in history who did great things. But personally, I don't believe he is the Messiah.

I don't crack down on Christians or insult them. We have different beliefs. Believe me. I know what it's like to be a Christian and a Jew. I would be ignorant to bash Christians. The only thing that bugs me greatly is when they say I am going to hell because I don't believe Jesus was the Messiah. [Which my grandmother does regularly.]

Everyone has their own beliefs, and I have mine. I wouldn't want someone to say I'm horrible for not believeing in Christ and I'm going to hell. Thus I wouldn't tell someone that they're wrong for their own beliefs.
