just wanted to see who puts up a masquerade in life. &what theyr reasons are.

i have a mask because first. i dont want my angst or saddness to um travel to other people? like i dont want them to also feel that way cause it will so called suck for them. &also i do because people tend to judge and i hate it when people judge you so i say might as well fake life since people will put you in a certain category. but i dont want a category.

My mask, its peaceful, with a smile painted on,
It helps me belive all my scars are gone
all the emotional pain that i have felt in my life,
are now gone when i put on the mascarade for my life.

I smile for people, knowing in my heart i frown,
I laugh for my friends, even though im feeling down,
I listen to those who need it, when my own heart wants to talk
I feel so alone, so down in my walk

I put on my mask, every day,
it hides my scares, my pain, im afriad,
that someday my friends, whom i thought i could trust,
would look down and frown apon me with disgust,
My mask, so peaceful, so open, so right,
would no longer hide, my pain and my fright.

Your poem really describes about how I've been feeling.
I put on a mask in front of my friends and family.
In school I'm this happy, energetic, great friend.
At home, I keep to myself and I'd rather be alone.

I guess it's because I don't want to bother people with my problems.
I'm so used to being the person who listens and gives advice.
Not the one who needs the help and takes the wisdom of others.
I guess I like to let things pass by, solve themselves out.
Or just do it on my own.
Even when I need help the most.
