Hi, I'm trying to make a layout that's generally horizontal. What I mean is, the contents(the entries and comments) of my xanga will run horizontally instead of vertically. The vertical scroll bar is not needed(or disabled), only the horizontal scroll bar will be used to move sideways. I know this description is hard to visualize, so I made a sample of what I have in mind.
http://www.geocities.com/lavender_qko I hope that helps to understand what I mean better. I need help with how to make that layout work with xanga. How should I write the css or is there a way to set the dimensions of the field that's suppose to be the entry and comments work that way? I reali dunno what to do><~~~~.......Originally I wanted to see if I can find a theme similar to that (runs horizontally) and change the css settings to what I want, but I cant seem to find one that's like that. Please, if you have seen a horizontal layout please give mi the link. Any kind of help is VERY much appriciated, even if it will appear a little different from what I have in mind, as long as it's similar. Note: Please excuse the geocites ad and the actual content of the entries^^"....those are descriptions of the anime series Scrapped Princess and DN Angel. Note 2: The layout that I will be making is different from this one in terms of graphics. This page above is onli a demonstration of the "runs horizontally" concept Note 3: This is a minor problem, but if u place ur mouse cursor over the "subscriptions" link at the left, you see the rest of the page shift right a little bit. I dunno why that is @@"~ |

erm, i highly doubt you'll be able to tile the comments like that even with premium.
there used to be someone who had a kickass horizontal layout.. but she just recently changed it. anyway, she had premium, so she designed her comments page differently from her main page. however, you can still make a successful horizontal layout. just make div layers for each "Section"... if you want an example of a short horizontal layout (what i mean by short is it's not as elongated as yours since it's only 1024pixels long), go here... yah, i coded her divs for her, but as you can see i didn't separate the comments from the blog... just make sure when coding divs that the blog is the last thing you do. |
