Hey Guys, have you read "Catcher in the Rye"? Good book eh? I just wanted to ask you guys if you've read it, and if so, can you come up with a couple Possible themes for the novel. If so, write these themes as thesis statements whistling.gif

Don't you recall the conversation in the chat we had?
Me and Justin were praising that book and explaining the premise of that book.

Well, your sentence, depending on what you theme choose to write about and support, could look something like this:

"In Salingers novel, The Catcher in the Rye, the theme of [struggling against conformity] is illustrated by [the main characters point of view towards society.]"

or

"Through the use of [insert literary term here], Salinger delivers the theme of [self discovery] and creates a clever [allegory]."

or

"Salinger uses the theme of [self discovery] by [presenting Holden initiating into adulthood through knowledge, experience, by a process of disillusionment]"

Ack, I dunno. I'm still tired and lazy.
Maybe IM me later if you need more help?
