I have this friend, (she could possibly be reading this now..but hopefully not) and well..we just dont 'click'. I feel like we're both struggling to keep up our relationship when there really never was a relationship in the first place. I never feel myself around her..like i have to be someone completely different in order to get along..and thats NOT me..it will NEVER be me. I'm very different from her, and id like to keep it that way. But whenever i think she's starting to understand that i really dont want to be friend, it turns out the complete opposite. And, to make it worst my mom hates her and thinks that her personality is rubbing off on me and now she uses that as the reason to my bad behavior all the time. And half the time its NOT true! I just want to know how i can let my friend know for sure that i dont want to talk to her at all. Sure, ill say hi when we pass..but i want that to be it. So how can i put it gently, yet firmly enough that she gets the point? That would be great if you could help.

I have had that problem with someone. We just didn't "click" either. It's hard to be around someone that just doesn't "click" with you. In my case the girl just like, stopped talking to me. That's not the best way to do it. lol. I guess i would say "I don't feel like this friendship is going anywhere. When i am around you, i just can't be true to myself & be me. I think it would be best if we took some time apart" It's kinda harsh but im not sure what else i would say. I hope everything turns out ok! Sorry im not that great of help.
