You don't need to do anything but be honest. No rose, and you don't need her to be your girlfriend yet. Just ask her. It's as simple as that. Don't be dumb and act like someone you aren't though. Just be genuine and true to yourself, and if she likes you enough, she'll say yes. If not, then just move it along.
