should i?, or not...? Options

i like "him" buh all my friends think i shud give up cos "i`m too good for him" and i shud go out with this other guy [who i consider as a friend and probly nothing more..] buh i like "him" his friends say they think "he" likes me too..buh iono...i`m tured of waiting..and guessing shud i give up? or if i shudn`t what can i do?

• he`s nice to me
• he can be mean to everyone..all girls and blah..buh when some friends tell me and i say something like "oh..that was mean" he would apologize
• i once asked him whether he likes dogs or not [cos we have a club called AARF--abandoned animal rescue foundation--] i was hoping he wud join..he said he won`t and can`t [cos he has to break dance and stuff..], so i asked him if it`s cos he`s scared of dogs, and he said no...he jes don`t like them, buh he starts liking dogs these days..and i asked him if it has to do ith someone he likes and he said yes. i asked him who it was, and he said he won`t tell me. everyone`s telling me that i`m the one "he" likes..cos i`m thje only one in the whole grade that just got a dog if not the whole school..

i knw what you guys mean, i`ve been thinking through this alot lately. i relli don`t knw. i`m a freshie and then there`s this junior striding into my life. he has a gf buh he still flirts with me. i knew him cos i knew his gf first..a sophmore girl that also plays oboe. i knw that if they break up, it will be my fault and i wud feel bad. i also knw that if "he" is hitting on another girl while he is in a relationship..he wud also hit on other girls if he`s with -let`s say- me

ohkay. i don`t knw, "he" is really nice, and he actually says stuff that are relli straight forward [ie. "i was stalking you jst now you knw" "since yu wudn`t tell me yur msn, i had to contact lots of ppl to get it, i can`t live without talking to you"]

back to kevin. kev is too immature, i told him i like him. and he jst says "yeah, i knw" and stuff. the worst part??? HE DOESN`T LOOK AT ME WHEN I`M TALKING TO HIM
