Okay I think this is where its supposed to be...either here or relationships. Mods, you can move it there if you think it should be there instead...

Anyways, I was just thinking about this because I know that I personally do it sometimes myself. I'm just putting my opinion so please don't be offended and get all pissy about it or something...

Is it just me (or at least in my experience), or do girls (guys as well, but I'm going to focus on girls right now) tend to read into what guys (girls) say/do way too much? Say for instance, a guy says "I don't know."/"Whatever."/etc. a girl can think "Oh my god, is he mad at me?""Does he hate me?""What did I do?!" etc. etc... Or if a guy OR girl buys a present of some sort and its not quite what one expected...thoughts can follow such as "Are they trying to tell me something?""Did they think I want this because I am _____??" etc...Yes my examples kind of suck but anyways.

My point is that, sometimes simple actions/words don't have any specific deeper meaning. Sometimes its exactly what is said/done, like my other example, maybe all he can say is "Whatever." or maybe they did buy that present because they thought one would like it but for no particular bad reason. Seriously. People don't plan things out that much. Well, most. Its no need to get paranoid and so on.

Okay that's the end of my rant. Mainly done to tell myself this and to just share my newly gained knowledge with the rest of you. Enjoy. rolleyes.gif

I used to do that all the time. I would read into every little detail. I don't do it as much anymore, which is good becuase I would spend so much time reading into and analyzing and obsessing over pointless things. It was harmful
