I consider it a sport... This is the defintion of sports:
sport: Noun 1. a. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. b. A particular form of this activity. 2. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively. 3. An active pastime; recreation If you've ever been to a cheerleading competition, it IS a physical activity with rules that you must have certain moves. It is often undertaken competitively because they DO have competitions, and you have to condition your muslces and everything for it too. Like someone else said up there, if you count golfing as a sport, then why shouldnt cheerleading be too? |
