If you can't handle an intelligent DISCUSSION about who will win this year's presidential election, don't reply in this topic.

Who do you think will win? I am convinced that, though it will be close, Kerry will win this year. Unless of course, the votes in Florida happen to be recounted haha. Why do I feel this way? Because it was so close in 2000. Gore could have easily won. Now, however, I have heard stories from countless individuals stating why they voted for Bush and now they changed their mind and are voting for Kerry. I've witnessed many statements by those who supported Bush in 2000, but after this mess with Iraq, they no longer support him. It just bothers me to see people convinced Bush will win. They must live in an area where Bush is strongly supported, or else they would definetly not think that. In my experience, even in the most conservative areas (including Fulton County, which is the wealthiest county in georgia) there are at least 25% who would still vote for Kerry (our school did a poll). However, in the most liberal areas (I lived in Portland, where it was extremely liberal) I honestly did not know ONE person who would vote for Bush. So what does that say for Bush...? I would bet $100 that he is going to lose this year.

I just don't know how you could say that Bush let 9/11 happen remember! If any of you have ever seen Fahrenheit 9/11, you know what I am saying. If you haven’t seen it you need to...its out on DVD now!

The ignorance people have these days is ridiculous. Bush is all about money...and that is plain and simple. You think we invaded Iraq to get weapons of mass destruction...think again. Why is it when we went in we were only posting troops around the oil fields and not going after the real enemy Osama Bin Laden? I just don't see any significance in why we waged war on Iraq. We haven't found any type of weapons...but, Bush knows of one person that actually does have nukes...and it’s that guy in North Korea. But are we doing anything about him, of course not Bush doesn't want to F*ck up before he gets re-elected. Sure eventually Iraq was going to be a problem but, why go after someone that we don't need right now. And, Bushes notion of Kerry being a flip-flopper is ridiculous. Like Kerry said on the debate last Thursday which do think is worst having a flip-flopper or having someone make a decision like Iraq. Over 1,000 American troops died over a personnel vendetta that could have been settled in a different way.

Republicans are for Rich people, and Bush gives them a whole lot of tax cuts that Middle Class would not benefit from. What happened to taking care of our own people? Over half of all Americans don’t have health care, but we can spend billions of dollars to fund a war. With those billions of dollars we could pay our teachers, police officers, and fire fighters a lot more than they are getting paid now. I personally would pay more taxes to have free education and free health care. Those are necessities that every American should have the privilege to have. We are so called “The land of the free” but we have to pay for buying a car and driving on US soil, and we buy a house but have to pay taxes for the land we put it on. Since we have to pay for the land than this shouldn’t be called the land of the free, it should be called “The land of the bought”

Just think about every angle before you all make your decision on voting this year. I’ve been a democrat for the longest and understanding politics and finding your candidate is not easy just think of everything.

You've been poisioned! You're turning into a socialist!

Anyway, please, this topic is for predictions, not debating who is better.
