If you can't handle an intelligent DISCUSSION about who will win this year's presidential election, don't reply in this topic.
Who do you think will win? I am convinced that, though it will be close, Kerry will win this year. Unless of course, the votes in Florida happen to be recounted haha. Why do I feel this way? Because it was so close in 2000. Gore could have easily won. Now, however, I have heard stories from countless individuals stating why they voted for Bush and now they changed their mind and are voting for Kerry. I've witnessed many statements by those who supported Bush in 2000, but after this mess with Iraq, they no longer support him. It just bothers me to see people convinced Bush will win. They must live in an area where Bush is strongly supported, or else they would definetly not think that. In my experience, even in the most conservative areas (including Fulton County, which is the wealthiest county in georgia) there are at least 25% who would still vote for Kerry (our school did a poll). However, in the most liberal areas (I lived in Portland, where it was extremely liberal) I honestly did not know ONE person who would vote for Bush. So what does that say for Bush...? I would bet $100 that he is going to lose this year. |

I don't understand why someone would be "convinced" that someone is going to win .... I mean, its not something that is predictable ... so how can you as.sume? If you are convinced that someone is going to win then you are just a complete moron.
I'm actually quite sick of these topics and I'd rather not waste my energy typing out one of these replies again ... It just seems that a lot of the teenage crowd is going with Kerry because its "the cool thing to do" and it has become pop-culture to make fun of George W. Bush and his speech habits. I myself am a teenager and don't think myself to be that much politically informed. I am just disturbed by the fact that many teenagers support Kerry without knowing the facts. |
