If you can't handle an intelligent DISCUSSION about who will win this year's presidential election, don't reply in this topic.

Who do you think will win? I am convinced that, though it will be close, Kerry will win this year. Unless of course, the votes in Florida happen to be recounted haha. Why do I feel this way? Because it was so close in 2000. Gore could have easily won. Now, however, I have heard stories from countless individuals stating why they voted for Bush and now they changed their mind and are voting for Kerry. I've witnessed many statements by those who supported Bush in 2000, but after this mess with Iraq, they no longer support him. It just bothers me to see people convinced Bush will win. They must live in an area where Bush is strongly supported, or else they would definetly not think that. In my experience, even in the most conservative areas (including Fulton County, which is the wealthiest county in georgia) there are at least 25% who would still vote for Kerry (our school did a poll). However, in the most liberal areas (I lived in Portland, where it was extremely liberal) I honestly did not know ONE person who would vote for Bush. So what does that say for Bush...? I would bet $100 that he is going to lose this year.

isn't this supposed to be in DEBATE?

Anyway, I support Kerry (I was raised democrat) and I believe in everything democrats stand for. But I think Bush will win, their are to many bullshitting rednecks out their who call him DUBYA and will vote for him because they don't understand politics. But even though Kerry is the lesser of evils and even though I support him he still isn't the best man for the job. I honestly think that we should nominate someone who is and not some daddy's boy who failed every company that he has run and not some old guy who can't make up his mind. Anyway--- I think Bush will win, unforrtunatly.

(maybe that all made sense)

actually, i live in an extremely wealthy area in georgia (most my friend's houses are worth over a million dollars, i know this cause one of them's selling their house for 1.2 million) and they do know what they are talking about, they just have different opions. the rednecks who support bush are actually stupid because they're doing themselves more harm than good, but i can understand the richest people in america supporting bush since they do benefit from him. only two types of people will be voting for him this november: stupid poor people or smart rich people. It's a good thing the majority of our country isn't rich.
