to start... when the earth was formed by the theory of gravitional theory by where a passing star pulled matter away from our sun. the matter gathered and condensed into planets... the reason why the shape is sphereical is beause of accretion of matter ... and this is explained my einsteins theory of gravitational attraction whisch is f= gx (m1xm2/dpower of 2)
thus this gravitational force acrecrtes more "lumppiness" from the space making the object larger and denser. this contraction cuases an increase in rotation with a rapidly contracting core and slower contracting sorroundings (like as you spin faster if you draw your arms in) thus making the distance the same from the middle the the outside , hence the radius is the same therefore a sphereical shape... sorry its a little long but thats it.... mneh i do physics
