mums and garters, ..? Options

so... does your school have the whole tradition where the girls get mums from the guys and the guys get garters from the girls?

my date's mom made a mum for me. hehe. i hear mums + garters are a southern thing though.

mums are given to the girls by their dates
and garters are given to the guys by the girls

so if i were to get a mum it would be pinned to my left or right upper chest area, it would have all that fun stuff and my dates name

for guys it would go on their arm

its a homecoming thing, my mom says its very southern because technically with a mum or garter you are branding someone as if they were cattle
