Melancholy Grin
As I linger in the hallway Stroking doorbells one by one, they come to find me. Yet they know I'm just a figure from disgrace, With a melancholy grin.. Silent voices speak this sin. None but darkness clings to faith. Yet where in time have you seen me begin? Let the tears bleed to my pillow, As those words will numb and Tear apart to overcome the fear... Can we escape what we're left to conceal, With a melancholy grin.. Silent voices speak this sin. None but darkness clings to faith. Yet where in time have you seen me begin? How I've wished to ever tell you... About the gloom and heartbreak piercing through my soul... ... or have you noticed, thought, or even kept in mind? you're the only one who's really died. As the smile on my face Shall recoil with no trace, It's my eyes that look up Will you realize the truth? With a melancholy grin.. Silent voices speak this sin. None but darkness clings to faith. it`s kind of a song i began a few weeks ago and finished today.. the thing was i couldn`t smile or be myself in front of people, and everything fell apart. it seemed like i was invisible to the world though i was clearly there, and everyone was too blind to see how much of a tragity life itself can become.... i guess it was inspired by all the heartbreak, lies, and betrayal.... yet possibly it was from the pressure of everyone wanting to see people happy, that i stared at them blankly with a pause when they asked "what`s wrong?".. i explained it`s not a frown at all that i wear.. but a grin
